Resourceful
Contains insights from my 4 years at Indiana and a curated compilation of essential resources
My name is Josh Aronow, and I am a 2024 graduate of Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. The inspiration for J-Guides stemmed from my own experiences navigating the complexities of freshman year. I often wished for the advice, mentorship, and insights from someone who had already been through the process. I firmly believe that guidance from a relatable graduate can significantly impact a student’s college journey.
Freshman year is often filled with confusion and the overwhelming task of adapting to a new environment. My guidebook aims to alleviate these challenges by providing essential information, resources, and mentorship for both students and parents, all in one comprehensive package.

I am absolutely blown away by this guidebook! It’s a resource that I highly recommend all parents give to their kids as a must-read. It’s packed with important info and advice that will not only help my daughter prepare for the upcoming year but will also support her throughout her entire freshman year. I found it extremely helpful as well. There's a lot of information that I think would benefit many parents. This guidebook has been a game changer for us!
The IU guidebook has been so helpful for me. From understanding campus life to building my schedule to just getting my expectations in line and hearing the perspective of a graduate. I think this guidebook will definitely make my transition to college smoother, and I am super grateful for that.
My son has orientation coming up, and this guidebook is the perfect thing for him to have to get his mind in the right place. It provided a great overview for both of us. There are many useful tips that will help me prepare to send him off and get ready for the move-in experience. I also find it heartwarming that a graduating student wants to pass down what they've learned. I think it's amazing and will really help a lot of students.
Josh has really helped me out, past just his guidebook, I’ve communicated with him a bunch. I know I want to go into real estate and he has been super helpful, explaining certain resources on campus and telling me about the paths his friends took to get into the industry. Having someone to go to with questions will really help out during the year. And the video walk throughs were great to follow along to, such an easy way to learn how to use the tools / strategies.
The guidebook was very helpful. I thought the list of the necessities for college was one of the best parts because I didn’t really know what to pack. Overall, this is definitely the resource I needed.
